In the face of increasingly severe global climate challenges, the Indonesian government is actively promoting a transition toward a green economy. Striving to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060 or earlier, the government is committed to building a modern industrial system that is resource-efficient and environmentally friendly.
Since initiating its "Green Factory" establishment efforts in early 2024, PT Semen Imasco Asiatic formed a dedicated task force. This group conducted a comprehensive review of current operations and developed improvement plans centered on core indicators such as green design, clean production, energy and resource efficiency, and environmental emission control. Through systematic planning, meticulous management, and multi-party collaboration, the company successfully passed the external audit by the B4T certification body in October 2025, officially receiving Indonesia’s national Green Industry Certification.

During this Green Industry certification audit, the audit team conducted a systematic evaluation of the company’s technical and management capabilities in accordance with the "Green Industry Standard for the Cement Industry (SIH 23941.1:2018)." The results indicated that the company’s operations are well-regulated and its production processes fully comply with Green Industry requirements, leading to the successful completion of the audit.
The company demonstrated outstanding performance in energy conservation, emission reduction, and resource recycling. By leveraging its Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) power generation system, the plant achieves significant energy recovery and self-powering capabilities, substantially reducing external energy consumption. Furthermore, the company’s management systems are mature and highly efficient, having already obtained international certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
The audit team concluded that the company's senior management places a high priority on green manufacturing. With its robust energy recycling systems and history of receiving multiple environmental and energy management awards, the company fully demonstrates its excellence in energy efficiency, emission reduction, and sustainable development.
Looking toward the future, PT Semen Imasco Asiatic will continue to uphold its strategic policy of "Innovation-Driven, Green Development." Taking this certification as a new starting point, the company will persist in promoting energy conservation, carbon reduction, and digital transformation. By driving the green upgrade of the industry, the company aims to contribute even greater strength to the construction of a "Beautiful Indonesia" and the advancement of sustainable development.
